Ministry of Health: Most educational institutions are ready for the new school year

Most districts are ready for the reopening of schools and kindergartens. This was announced by the director of the National Agency for Public Health (ANSP), Nicolae Furtună, during the Focal Point meeting, held online.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), most districts are ready for the reopening of schools and kindergartens, with a positive opinion from ANSP, problems being identified in Dubasari, Calarasi and Leova districts, where some institutions are still in the process of completion.  implementation of public health recommendations issued by ANSP.

Nicolae Furtună mentioned that the educational institutions received the recommendations for the implementation of the public health measures and it is possible to start the educational process, gradually, depending on the level of preparation of the institutions.  ANSP specialists work daily in the territory and offer all the support to the local public authorities to undertake all protection measures, according to the Instruction approved by the Extraordinary National Commission for Public Health.

The Minister of Health, Viorica Dumbrăveanu asked the team from ANSP and the Ministry of Health to be in permanent communication and coordination with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the founders and directors of education institutions, to provide full support, but also to monitor the implementation of recommendations  issued by ANSP.

"We know that ANSP is working at full capacity and is practically making a double effort during this period, both regarding the management and surveillance of the epidemiological situation of COVID-19, but also the evaluation of educational institutions from all over the country.  It is about the health of our children, that is why, I request that all the recommendations of the specialists within ANSP, be made and strictly monitored, in every educational institution ", the minister underlined.

Another topic discussed during the meeting was the implementation of the new provisions included in the Interim Protocol COVID-19.  The Secretary of State for Primary Health Care, Marina Golovaci, said that the profile department offers all the support of family doctors, in order to cope with the large number of patients, which is growing from day to day.  Currently, 4500 patients are being treated at home.

Viorica Dumbrăveanu requested the creation of a support group to include the specialists from the State University and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu", which will coordinate the implementation of the new provisions, both in the hospital field and in the field of primary health care.
