Democrat Vladimir Andronachi leaves the PDM faction

Democratic MP Vladimir Andronachi announced that he is leaving the faction of the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), but remains a member of the PDM. According to Vladimir Andronachi, the decision is taken and determined by the lack of a democratic and open process within the faction and the party. He said he was unhappy with the party's top leadership and said he would return to the faction when PDM leader Pavel Filip left the party. Contacted by trm.md, Pavel Filip did not answer our calls.

"Today, with regret, I declare that I am leaving the faction of the Democratic Party. It is a decision assumed and determined by the lack of a democratic and open process within the faction and the party. At the same time, I declare that I am not leaving the Democratic Party. I am neither a fugitive nor a traitor," reads Vladimir Andronachi's statement.

He announces that he will not join another political party and will continue his parliamentary activity as an unaffiliated deputy.

"I will continue to contribute with the best ideas, solutions and knowledge for the Republic of Moldova as an unaffiliated deputy. I do not intend and I do not want to join any other faction or parliamentary group,” the deputy announces.

Vladimir Andronachi also stated that he trusts the Democratic Party, but not with Pavel Filip as president and that he is ready to return to the PDM faction and contribute to the development of the party from the first day when the current leader and his followers will no longer be in the party or at its helm.

PDM leader Pavel Filip has not yet come up with a reaction to Vladimir Andronachi's statement.
