The second Ministerial Trade Summit, evaluated today in Kiev

The implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) between the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries on economic development and the business environment will be assessed today in Kiev at its Second Ministerial Meeting in the trade area.

The event will also be attended by Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Mr. Chiril Gaburici.

According to the agenda, the plenary session will be held during which the country study on the implementation of the DCFTA provisions, successes and constraints will be presented. Subsequently, a round table will take place, where discussions will be held on the success stories of companies in the DCFTA countries.

On the first day of the visit to Ukraine, the Minister will meet with Cecilia Malmström, EU Trade Commissioner. During the meeting, the officials will discuss the Moldovan reforms to remove the technical barriers to trade, the measures taken to ensure intellectual property rights, the results of better access to the EU market.

During the meeting, Chiril Gaburici will hold a series of bilateral meetings with senior European officials, heads of state and government.
