Romania reports over 80 thousand diseases with COVID-19

In the last 24 hours, 1,060 new cases of COVID-19 out of 20,479 tests performed were registered in Romania, as well as 58 deaths, including two in people under 29 . One of them, 25 years old, had no other illnesses. 490 patients are hospitalized for intensive care, writes digi24.ro.

To date, on August 25, 80,390 cases of people infected with the new Coronavirus have been confirmed in Romania.

35,816 patients were declared cured and 9,593 asymptomatic patients were discharged 10 days after detection.

Following the tests performed at national level, compared to the last report, 1,060 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV-2 were registered, these being cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the newly confirmed cases, following the retesting of patients who were already positive, 732 people were reconfirmed positively.

To date, 3,367 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.
