A fire station at the COVID Center in Chisinau

Starting with March 1, a mobile rescue and fire station will operate temporarily near the COVID Center in Chisinau. According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU), the intervention station is ready to react at any time in order to prevent fires and other risk situations.

The mission of the firefighters is to ensure fire safety for hospitalized patients, medical staff, but also the entire institution. Today, 16 IGSU employees, who will work in the post, were trained by their superiors in carrying out the security assurance mission. Firefighters checked the escape routes in case of exceptional situations, water supply hydrants, but also evaluated the opportunities for prompt intervention in case of fire.

The activity of the lifeguard station in the field of risk prevention and fire safety will be carried out during the operation of the COVID Center, and lifeguards and firefighters will work 24 hours a day.
