An Air Moldova plane detained at Istanbul airport
Give us a plane! This was requested by the more than one hundred passengers who were to arrive in Chisinau yesterday, but were blocked at Istanbul airport. The passengers said they were being held hostage. The representatives of AIR Moldova announced yesterday that a plane from the 9U fleet was detained at the airport in Istanbul, Turkey, due to a historical debt, Moldova 1 reports.
Air Moldova claims that after the suspension of flights in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, it faced financial problems, so it could no longer make payments to a company that provides fueling services.
The passengers of the suspended flight are to be transported to Moldova today.
