Traffic restrictions on national roads for heavy transport
The circulation of heavy vehicles with a total weight of more than 20 tons on national roads with asphalt concrete road pavement is prohibited between 10:00 and 20:00 on days when an air temperature exceeding 30 Celsius degrees.
The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure informs that the restrictions established do not refer to vehicles carrying passengers, units transporting live animals and perishable products of animal and plant origin, those participating in interventions in case of force majeure, those equipped with first-class equipment, aid or trained in the prevention, liquidation of exceptional situations, vehicles involved in the rehabilitation of roads within the construction sites.
Restricting road traffic aims to prevent the deterioration of road pavement on public roads in conditions of high air temperatures.
