The president-elect, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the German ambassador to Moldova

The president-elect, Maia Sandu, had a meeting with the German ambassador to Moldova, Angela Ganninger. Maia Sandu thanked for the congratulatory letter sent by the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, on the occasion of the victory in the presidential elections, Radio Moldova reports.

At the meeting, Maia Sandu stressed that, during her term, she will make every effort to make the Republic of Moldova a state where the laws are respected and the institutions work for the good of the citizens.

"Germany's support in the process of modernizing our country is essential, especially in our European course and in the desire to increase the standard of living of Moldovans," said the president-elect.

In this context, Maia Sandu mentioned the need to strengthen Moldovan-German relations, namely in key areas such as democracy, civil society, the media and infrastructure projects.
