Coronavirus: Ukraine extends isolation by one month

Ukraine extends the quarantine by another month and will change its conditions, Health Minister of Kiev Maxim Stepanov announced. Isolation measures were due to expire on July 31, Moldova 1 TV reports.

The situation remains alarming in the neighboring country. Over 800 people tested positive in the last 24 hours. In all, more than 55,600 cases of the disease were reported in Ukraine since the outbreak, and 1,427 have died.

The Romanian Government will also approve today the extension of the alert state by another 30 days. The Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru, drew attention to the fact that there will be no new stage of relaxation, but no restrictions will be imposed.

  In Romania there is an increase in the number of cases with COVID-19. The balance of infections exceeds 33,500, and the death toll is close to 2000.
