Coronavirus: France has a new record of over 13,000 new cases in 24 hours

France registered 13,215 new cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours, a new record since the start of widespread testing in the country, and 123 deaths, according to information released on Friday by the Public Health Directorate, reports Agerpres.

About 3,626 patients with COVID-19 have been hospitalized in the past seven days, 403 more than the number announced on the eve, of which 571 at resuscitation, the public health service announced.

In contrast, the positive rate (the proportion of positive people in relation to the total number of people tested) remained stable at 5.4%.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, at least 31,249 deaths related to COVID-19 have been recorded in France, of which 20,689 in the hospital environment.
