Over four thousand homes, purchased through the First House Program

Since the launch of the "First House" State Program, 4,235 homes have been purchased so far. Another 18 applications were accepted and the guarantee contracts are to be signed. The total amount of loans granted by banks is 2.12 billion lei, and the total value of the active guarantees constitutes 1.06 billion lei. At the same time, 23 guarantees were extinguished due to the early repayment of the loan.

Out of 4,235 beneficiaries, 2,975 are families, and 1,260 - unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31.2 years. Also, out of the total number of beneficiaries, 612 persons benefit from compensations from the state budget under the First House 2 program, 1,574 - within the First House 3 program, and 317 - within the First House 4 program.

The average area of the homes purchased through the Program is 60.00 m.p. The average value of the homes purchased is 592.98 thousand lei. In the urban areas 3,970 homes were purchased, and in the rural areas - 265. Of the total number of homes purchased, 3,907 are apartments, and 328 - individual dwellings.

The "First House" government program will become even more accessible, after the Government has approved a draft decision in this regard. The document provides for the reduction of the share of initial own participation in the program down to 5% of the purchase price of the house, as well as the increase of the age of the applicants who can access the program up to 50 years. Also, the present project proposes to extend the categories of beneficiaries of the compensation programs carried out within the State Program "First Home", by including in the categories of beneficiaries of compensations and of the persons who have accessed a mortgage loan until the launch of the program.
