Football for a noble cause

20 teams participated in a mini-football tournament, organized by a Moldovan NGO. The money collected will be donated to people suffering from incurable diseases, Moldova 1 reports.

Dozens of amateurs of sport have played today to support people suffering from incurable diseases. Tournament participants say the trophy is not important but the fact that they can make their contribution to helping these people.

The first mini-fobal edition in support of people with incurable illness has gathered 20 teams at the start, being invited to make a donation of at least 2,000 lei each, thus contributing to the maintenance of palliative care services.

The tournament was also attended by representatives of the Embassy of Italy in the Republic of Moldova.
