ANSA intensifies control of all potato imports from Belarus

The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) intensifies control of all potato imports from Belarus after inspectors last week detected a pathogen in a potato group imported from this country. There are almost 22 tons of food potato returned to Belarus, reports Radio Moldova.

Under the ANSA order, all potato imports from Belarus will be monitored with sampling and laboratory testing.  The lots to be sampled will be retained at the border inspection post until the results of the laboratory tests are obtained.  In the case of positive results, the consignment will be returned to the country of dispatch.
