Marathonist Iulian Bercu, invited to the "Sports Week"

He ran for 250 km along with participants from 35 countries of the world, reaching the 15th finishing line of the 180 competitors. Although he has worked for many years in journalism, his passion for running has a special place in his soul. On Monday, March 25th, at the "Sports Week" show, we have invited Basarabian Marathonist Iulian Bercu, who participated in the New Zealand Racing Planet ultramarathon. What made him and how he came to participate in such a competition will tell us the athlete himself.

The Ultramarathon Racing The Planet has strict rules for participation. Athletes were required to have in their backpack 37 mandatory pieces, including medical kit, flashlights, gloves, thick and thin clothing, water cans and mountain sticks. It did not have to weigh more than 30 kilos. Also, the route and weather conditions were quite difficult. More about how he managed to cope with all the challenges and how many training sessions the Moldovan sportsman needed in order to record such a result, at Mihai Sandu's "Sports Week".

Also today, we analyze and review the most important sports events of the previous week. We will talk about the historic football match between the Republic of Moldova and the world champion France, but also about the success of the tennis player Radu Albot, who held the world's biggest tennis player, Roger Federer.

Stay close to the Sports Week show and learn more from the sport world on Moldova 1 and online on TRM.MD at 21:20.
