Amount of Moldova's exports increased by 55 percent within the first three months

In the first three months of the year, total exports of goods amounted to more than $ 1 billion, by 55 percent more compared to the similar period last year, according to a report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

Exports to European Union countries totaled over 700 million dollars, holding a share of 67% in total exports, and in the CIS countries our country exported goods worth just over 100 million dollars or about 10% of total exports.

The Republic of Moldova exported the most to Romania, Turkey and Italy. At the same time, exports fell by about 14% to Russia. In particular, during the reference period, our country exported cereals and cereal preparations (1.6 times more), oilseeds and fruits (2.6 times), vegetable fats and oils (4.1 times more) etc.

According to the NBS, imports from Russia have doubled twice due to the increase in the value of natural gas. At the same time, the largest imports from EU countries belong to Romania.
