Leonid Oleinicenco, appointed new president of the Moldovan Football Federation
Leonid Oleinicenco was elected president of the Moldovan Football Federation ( FMF) today, May 22, at the 18th Extraordinary Congress of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF). Pavel Ciobanu tendered his resignation a month ago.
Leonid Oleinicenco is 37 years old and is an economist by profession. He graduated the Faculty of Finance and Accounting of the Moldova Academy of Economic Studies.
Between 2006 and 2009 he was employed by the Court of Accounts of the Republic of Moldova. He has worked for FMF in the past 10 years.
Leonid Oleinicenco will head the FMF by 2021, when new elections are due to be held for the seat of president of the Federation.
