Chisinau City Hall signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Education

A partnership agreement on the development of youth centers in Chisinau municipality was signed today between the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research and the City Hall of the capital. Monica Babuc, Minister of Culture, mentioned during the signing of the documents that the Partnership is plenary in the context of achieving the objectives of the National Strategy for the development of the youth sector, reports Radio Moldova.

"By the end of 2018 we have signed agreements with the District Councils of the 20 districts of the Republic of Moldova and we are glad that this happened at the capital level of the Republic of Moldova. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, within the framework of this program, provides the Youth Centers with IT equipment and furniture, then we work with our development partners to train these cadres," said Culture Minister Monica Babuc.

In his turn, interim mayor of the capital Ruslan Codreanu mentioned that the Partnership Agreement aimed to strengthen the support that municipal authorities were ready to offer to ambitious young people and eager to get involved in the life of the city.

"We intend to create functional Youth Centers in every suburb of Chisinau. The figure of more than 30% of young people in the city of Chisinau speaks for itself," said interim mayor of the capital, Ruslan Codreanu.

The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research has so far signed partnership agreements for the opening of youth centers with 20 local governments. The partnership aims to strengthen institutional capacity for the development and territorial extension of youth services so as to increase the number of young beneficiaries and create a safe space for young people.
