Rain creates havoc in several settlements in Moldova
Yesterday's rain affected several settlements in Moldova. According to IGSU representatives, several households from the Drochia, Floresti, Riscani, Ocnita, Briceni and Ungheni districts have been flooded.
Firefighters intervened to pump water from households and cellars in Oclanda, Bulboci, Redi Cereşnovăţ and Cremenciug in Soroca district.
Also, the water damaged a part of 0.6 km of local road in Redi-Cereşnovăţ.
IGSU employees also intervened to evacuate the water from five private households, but also to cut down a tree that fell on the road in settlement Voloave.
In Drochia district, the rain affected several gardens, and the rescuers pumped water from the basement of a school and several blocks of flats.
