More than 20 people want to obtain citizenship of the Republic of Moldova through investments
More than 20 people filed applications for citizenship of the Republic of Moldova through investments. The data were presented by the Moldovan Investment Agency, reports Moldova 1.
In a press conference, the representatives of the institution said that most of the applicants want to get citizenship in order to develop their business in the Republic of Moldova. Agency representatives refused to communicate the countries of origin of those who filed their citizenship file.
In order to obtain the citizenship of the Republic of Moldova, a foreign investor must pay to the Sustainable Development Fund a non-repayable amount of at least 100,000 euros for one person.
Citizenship of the Republic of Moldova can also be obtained by investing at least 250,000 euros in a strategic field of activity, maintained for at least 5 years.
