On March 31, Moldova switches to summer time

By April 2019, each EU Member State (EU) must communicate whether it intends to apply the summertime on a permanent basis. The Republic of Moldova will adopt the same position as the EU countries. This is stated in a press release of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure. March 31, the last Sunday of March, Moldova switches to the summer hour - one hour ahead, Moldova 1 reports.

Thus, 02:00 will be 03:00.

Countries that want to switch permanently to the winter time will be able to do so on October 27, 2019.

In 2018, the European Commission organized a public consultation where 84% of Europeans responded to the waiver of seasonal change of time.
