Some shops and gas stations risks heavy fines

Certain stores and gas stations risk fines. Although the sale of alcoholic beverages after 22:00 is forbidden, inspectors of the National Food Safety Agency found (ANSA) found that at several petrol stations and stores the law was not respected.

Sparkling wine, beer, and other poorly alcoholic beverages are sold out even after midnight. As a result of the verifications carried out at 12 commercial units during 5-15 March, it was found that only one of them was respecting the law. At the other 11, violations were found, and the most frequent are: failure to release the receipt, lack of complaints register, lack of documents of provenance for alcoholic products on sale.

Irregularities fall under the scope of the Contravention Code, which provides for sanctions in the form of a fine from 900 lei to 15 thousand lei.
