Common crossing points could be established at the border between the Republic of Moldova and Romania. The topic was discussed by Moldovan customs officers with the USAID program director, reports Moldova 1 TV.

Authorities want to streamline traffic across several border areas, so all control procedures will take less than ten minutes. The officials also went to the customs posts "Leuseni" and "Palanca" to evaluate the situation.

Jointly operated by the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine border and customs services, Palanca border crossing point was launched into operation last year. today. The joint border control facilitates  the traffic flow across this area, with all procedures taking less than ten minutes. Creation of the jointly operated border crossing points is part of the Association Agreement signed between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union.
