"I love my profession - not migration", the flashmob of nurses

"I love my profession - not the migration" - under this generic have united today their voices in a flashmob several nurses from the "Diomid Gherman" Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery in the capital. This event, organized around the International Day of the Medical Assistant, aimed to attract the public's attention to the exodus of medical staff in the country, Moldova 1 reports.

Even if they are not fully satisfied with the size of the salary they receive, nurses say they prefer to remain in the country and fully devote themselves to the profession.

"Those who are here, you are the most devoted, you are the ones who, first of all, think about the patient, people, our country, Moldova. If we have such beautiful people, such beautiful girls mean that we will also stay here and we will not leave, they will not lose the hope that is constantly being discussed," said Grigore Zapuhlich, director of the Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery.

"The care and procedures that healthcare does, and there is no discussion about it, that its role is very important. That is why on the eve of the holiday, I want to wish them patience, health and taking into consideration the wretched salary they have now, it is their heroism that they remain in the country of Moldova," said Vladimir Parupuţ, the head of the Neurosurgery Department.

The Medical Assistant International Day is celebrated worldwide on May 12th.
