Two new outbreaks of African swine fever registered in Moldova
Two new outbreaks of African swine fever were localized in Moldova, one in Gura Galbenei village, Cimişlia district and another in Cucoara, Cahul district, reports Moldova 1 TV.
According to the National Agency for Food Safety, in the first case two infected pigs were culled in private households, and in the second - 63 animals from a farm.
Currently, 11 active outbreaks of swine fever are registered in the territory of Moldova. The most affected is the Cahul district - with seven outbreaks, two – in Cantemir district and 1- in Nisporeni and Cimişlia districts.
Last year, 38 swine fever outbreaks were registered on the territory of Moldova, which were localized and neutralized.
