The Environment Agency: The level of radiation in Moldova is within the limits of the admissible norm
After the incident at the Ribnita metallurgical plant, the radiation level in the Republic of Moldova is within the permissible norm. The insurance comes from representatives of the Environment Agency, reports Moldova 1.
Air quality and radioactivity are constantly monitored by the specialists of the institution. The radiation level is now measured twice a day in 12 localities in the Republic of Moldova.
Between 4 and 13 March, aerosol samples were taken at the Chisinau station and analyzed. The results showed the observed concentrations, and the experts say they are not a danger to the environment and the health of the population.
At the beginning of March, radiation leakage took place at the Metallurgical Plant in Râbniţa.
