EU helps to modernize police sectors
10 police sectors will be renovated with the financial support of Romania. The 12.5 million euro project is funded by the European Commission through the European Neighborhood Instrument and will be implemented by 2022, Mesager reports.
These are the police sectors in Edinet, Riscani, Ungheni, Hincesti, Leova and Cahul.
A headquarter for three operational subdivisions of the General Police Inspectorate will be built, modern equipment will be bought and there will be launched a secure platform for data exchange between police structures in Romania and Moldova, beneficiary countries of the project "Regional cooperation for preventing and combating cross-border crimes between Romania and Moldova ".
