Eight business support centers to be opened in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova

Support and advice for future entrepreneurs. Eight business support centers will be opened in the southern region of the Republic of Moldova. People who want to start or develop a business so they become more competitive and profitable on the local and foreign markets will benefit from consultative assistance from a group of specialists, reports Moldova 1.

Business support centers were opened with the financial support of the European Union, with an investment estimated at 300,000 euros.

"There will be various types of support, ie providing useful information and advice, organizing training for the business environment, including developing mentoring programs," said Lilian Danilov, Country Coordinator for Economic Growth.

"We want to ensure synergy between business incubators in the Republic of Moldova, support organizations and entrepreneurship service providers, so that entrepreneurs get maximum quality advice so they can plan their ideas business and to realize them without admitting any mistakes," said ODIMM interim general manager Petru Gurgurov.

"These investments are being made to improve the living standards of the citizens of the countryside, so we focus our efforts on regional areas. Small and medium-sized enterprises, start-ups can create many jobs, and that will generate significant profits," said EU project chief Marco Gemmer.

Entrepreneurs count on organizing as many training as possible within these centers.

"My company will produce baby clothes, I'm at the stage of purchasing the machine. I hope these centers will be a guide," said entrepreneur Valentina Brânză.

"We provide facial and body cosmetics services. Obviously the support that will be provided in the district centers is also beneficial for those who are already active, because if we have some questions we will be able to ask them," stated the entrepreneur Ana-Maria Lungu.

Four centers will operate within the district councils of Cantemir, Basarabeasca, Taraclia and Căuşeni, and four of them - within the Business Incubators of Cahul, Leova, Cimişlia and Ştefan Vodă.

"The creation of this business platform is an important support for the small and medium-sized enterprises in the territory that will bring economic growth as well as the provision of quality services in this area," said Căuşeni district vice-president Sergiu Gogu.

Business Support Centers are part of the "South Gate of Moldova Open Business and Investment Promotion" project.
