They have access to drinking water and sanitation thanks to European projects. We are talking about the vast majority of inhabitants of the village of Carpineni in Hancesti district, who have connected the households to a modern water supply system in the past 10 years. The project was implemented through the financial contribution of the Swiss Fund and sponsored by the Austrian Development Cooperation. The total cost of the investment amounted to 27 million lei, Moldova 1 reports.

Larisa Buhna connected to the drinking water supply system at the end of November last year, and currently she pays on average 200 lei per month.

One cubic meter of water in Carpineni costs 12 lei.
