Candidates of the Bloc ACUM to the positions of Prime Minister and Speaker of Parliament

Deputies of the Bloc ACUM propose Andrei Năstase to the position of Parliament Speaker, and Maia Sandu to the post of Prime Minister. The announcement was made today at a press conference.

"Moldova is in a serious situation, things can not continue like this, we need a responsible government," said Maia Sandu.

"We reiterate that our goal is justice and all the other benefits to people," said Andrei Năstase.

At the same conference, the Bloc ACUM specified that it would divide into two parliamentary factions: the Party of Action and Solidarity and the Platform of Dignity and Truth Party.

The two factions will have a Coordinating Council, which will be led by the leaders of the two parties, Andrei Năstase and Maia Sandu.

Also, the Platforma DA si PAS signed the Agreement on the Establishment of the Political Block "ACUM Platforma DA si PAS" within the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, and the two signatory parties announced the participation together in the general local elections in 2019 within the electoral bloc "ACUM Platforma DA si PAS". The two factions, including the non-attached MPs elected of the bloc ACUM agreed on a joint decision-making mechanism within the Political Bloc ACUM.
