Main favorites in the presidential election in Ukraine

The main favorites in the presidential election in Ukraine are the actor Vladimir Zelenskiy with 35.3 percent, the current president Petro Poroshenko by 18.9 percent and Yulia Tymoshenko with 17.5 percent. These are the data of preliminary polls submitted by the public organizations for the defense of human rights in Ukraine. In a press conference held in Chisinau, Ukrainian civic activist Nikola Kozusko said that out of the 44 registered candidates only 7 would accrue most of the votes of the Ukrainians. According to him, the result of this election depends on the political context in which Ukraine finds itself following the annexation of Crimea and the armed conflict in Donbas, reports Moldova 1.

"As the latest polls show, Vladimir Zelinski will enter the second round of elections, competing with either the current president Petro Poroshenko, or Yulia Tymoshenko who represents the Batkivschyna party. Ukrainians want economic, social change, another approach in international relations, tariff cuts and, just like voters in the Republic of Moldova, they want an increase in wages, pensions and social benefits, "said activist Nikola Kojusko.
