More than 200 protesters were arrested following Saturday's protests in France

There are people who want to destroy France, and those who participated in the protests yesterday are complicit. This was what France's President Emmanuel Macron said at a crisis meeting last night at the Interior Ministry following the violent demonstration of the yellow vests that destroyed the Champs Elysee Boulevard. Emmanuel Macron said that clear and firm decisions were needed in the shortest possible time to prevent such violence from happening again, Moldova 1 reports.

In Paris, over 10,000 people have shown. Several stores and news kiosks have been vandalized during collisions, and the police arrested over 200 protesters. Authorities have reported that 17 policemen and 42 demonstrators have been injured. In order to calm the spirits, the forces of order did not hesitate to use the cannons with water and tear gas.

The worst incident happened, however, at a bank branch, located on the ground floor of a residential building. The bank was burned, threatening the lives of all those in the building. The Interior Minister announced that the Paris firefighters and the police had evacuated all the people, and the fire was extinguished.

The yellow vests' meetings also took place in Lyon (center-east) to Montpellier (south). In Bordeaux (southwest), a banking agency was vandalized, and demonstrators and law enforcement officials clashed late in the afternoon. Across the country, over 32,000 people would have gone out on the streets. The opposition, some opinion leaders and journalists, criticized Emmanuel Macron for leaving on holiday, as the yellow vests had announced they were gathering at a general meeting in Paris.
