Chisinau hosts fair of local grapes
Over 20 producers from Moldova will come at the fair of local grapes “Ia Moldova acasa”. The fair takes place starting with 11:00, in the square of Metropolitan Cathedral "Naşterea Domnului", Moldova 1 TV reports.
The price of 1 kg of grapes will be five lei.
The initiative came after several Moldovan farmers announced that they still have a lot of grapes and they risk financial losses.
Producers call on consumers to offer local grapes, not bunches of imported flowers.
According to statistical data, Moldovan producers have harvested 680,000 tons of grapes last year from a total area of 128,000 hectares of vineyards.
