"A legend: The Luceafărul Theater" - the title of a new editorial appearance
"A Legend: Luceafărul Theater" - is the title of an exceptional editorial appearance that brings to the present the image of famous actors and directors who were at the foundation of this famous theater. An unusual book, in which the authors Liliana Popusoi and Mircea V. Ciobanu selected with love, competence and much respect the novelty of the phenomenon of Luceafăr, reports Moldova 1.
"We try not to reproduce the history of the theater in this book, but to recreate the legend of this playhouse. It is the first theater in style, the first stylish theater in our country, with a very concrete school of theater, with an artistic program and an unmistakable gameplay," said Mircea V. Ciobanu, writer, author of the book.
"A book based on the testimonies of some spectators, a book that means that this theater has contributed not only to the theatrical history of the Republic of Moldova but has formed a cultural elite, all those who during the years of study were spectators of the theater formed the cultural elite," said Liliana Popusoi, journalist, author of the book.
Along other spectators, marked by the phenomenon of Luceafăr, were writers, painters and composers.
The theater’s actors of yesterday and today assert that the volume is a school of dignity, of mastery and resistance.
"These people, who in their hearts hallowed the stage of Luceafărul Theater, think that many books can be written about them. Together they shone like no constellation shone in other theaters," says Vitalia Grigoriu, actress at the Republican Theater "Luceafărul".
The volume anticipates the 60th anniversary of the Republican Theater "Luceafărul" and was edited with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
