Book about Moldovan justice

"The law without justice is dead" - this is the motto of the book "Constitutional Justice". 30 years of the judiciary of the Republic of Moldova through the prism of two notorious specialists, well known lawyer Victor Puscas, former president fo the Supreme Court of Justice and of the Constitutional Court and the PhD in law Valeriu Cuciuk. Case studies, scientific researches and journalistic articles on the activity of the courts and the Constitutional Court were included into the book "Constitutional Justice," Mesager reports.

The authors of the book provide a thorough analysis of constitutional jurisdiction and concrete solutions to improve the situation in Moldovan justice. The authors argue that constitutional justice must position itself above political decisions and actions, be applied in such a way as to avoid any suspicion of interference with possible conflicts of interest, and the  persons shall be appointed as constitutional judge  based on a public contest.

"There are a lot of controversial issues in court. We as researchers see the solution by initiating scientific dialogue discussions,  transparency,  debates, "says Valeriu Cuciuk, PhD in Law.

"In this book we can find the interpretation of the events starting with 1989 and the constitutional development of the Republic of Moldova. The book describes the attributions of the Constitutional Court, the right to information, the limitations for human rights", said lawyer Victor Puşcaş .

The book was edited in 100 copies and will be distributed for free to libraries and universities in Moldova.
