Simona Halep in the third round of the Dubai Tennis Championships
A place in the last 16 of the Dubai Tennis Championships awaits Simona Halep, who defeated Eugenie Bouchard in straight sets on Tuesday.
Simona Halep held off the challenge of Eugenie Bouchard on Tuesday to advance to the third round of the Dubai Tennis Championships.
The Romanian, champion at this event four years ago, prevailed 7-6 (7-4) 6-4 to move into the round of 16, where Lesia Tsurenko or Zhu Lin await.
The 27-year-old Halep, a former world number one, won the Dubai title in 2015.
