The best boxers from Moldova may not participate in this year's World Cup

The best boxers in the country may not attend the World Cup this year. The statement belongs to the former national team coach, emeritus coach Petru Caduc, reports Messenger.

According to Caduc, the new coach of the national team, Igor Untilă did not include in the batch the international masters Dumitru Galagoţ (63 kg), European vice-champion, Victor Carapcevschi (75 kg), double champion of the European Union, Andrei Zatuşevschi (91 kg), bronze medal at the last edition of the World University Championships.

"It's a real game against these boys, and this is all done with the permission of the Federation led by Vasile Chirtoca, whom I have criticized on several occasions lately, because I do not agree with his attitude of some problems existing in Moldovan boxing. In addition, according to the regulation, the right to participate in the World Championships has the national champions of the last edition ”, declared Petru Caduc.

According to Caduc, with the exception of Alexei Zavatin (plus 91kg), none of those who were included to participate in the Yekaterinburg tournament in September are national champions. Asked to give us the names of the candidates for the World Championship, the secretary of the Federation, Nicolae Savcov stated that they will become known at the end of this month.

The World Boxing Championship will be held in Yekaterinburg (Russia) from September 7 to 21.
