Sales of wood and coal have increased in recent days

Moldovans who bought firewood early are now warming themselves at the stove. For those who postponed their supplies, the frosts announced by meteorologists gave them an incentive to visit the market on Calea Basarabiei Street in the Capital. Traders say that sales of wood and coal have increased in the last few days, reports Moldova 1.

Victor Ţurcanu lives in Ciorescu commune. The man says that the low temperatures took him by surprise. He hurried to buy firewood.

And if for some buyers the prices are affordable, others are dissatisfied.

Traders say that a cubic meter of wood costs between 850 and 1,000 lei, and for those who buy a larger quantity they also make discounts.

A ton of pellets costs between 2,000 and 3,000 lei, and a ton of coal reaches up to 5,000 lei.
