An employee of Chisinau City Hall, infected with COVID-19
The department of economy, reforms and patrimonial relations of Chisinau municipality could be quarantined, after last week, an employee was diagnosed with COVID-19. The announcement was made by Deputy Mayor Inga Ionesii during the operative meeting of the City Hall, reports Moldova 1.
According to the interim head of the department, Vladimir Iermicioi, it is now being investigated whom of the colleagues came into direct contact with the infected person, in order to know exactly which employees will have to go into self-isolation for 14 days. In total, it would be about 10 people.
"The economy department, practically everyone is in self-isolation. A person was found infected with COVID-19 on Saturday. The person was in contact with most of the collaborators of this direction. I will see what the situation will be, if everyone will be in quarantine, it will be difficult in a week to present this information to you," stated Inga Ionesii.
By standards, self-isolation lasts 14 days.
So far, in the Republic of Moldova, 8,251 cases of infection with the new Coronavirus have been confirmed, of which 999 in the Transnistrian region.
The number of people treated with COVID-19 reached 4,622, while a number of 298 people lost their battle with the disease.
