The pandemic situation is becoming alarming in educational institutions

The pandemic situation is becoming alarming in educational institutions as well. Last week alone, 131 cases of COVID-19 infection were reported. In total, 276 students from Chisinau are sick with COVID-19, Moldova 1 reports.

There are 3,422 students in self-isolation, a thousand more than two weeks ago. Thus, the infected students are from 172 classes from 76 institutions, out of which 37 primary classes, 63 middle schools and 33 high schools.

Among teachers and non-teachers, 226 cases of infection were registered, of which 75 are new, and 107 teachers are in self-isolation.

At the same time, the head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, stated that the number of cases of COVID-19 is increasing among children aged between 13 and 17 years.
