Moldova will receive another 14,400 doses of COVID vaccine tomorrow

Moldova will receive tomorrow, March 4, a batch of 14,400 doses of COVID vaccine. A statement to this effect was made by the current Minister of Health, Tatiana Zatic, during today's meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"We are waiting for the next batch of vaccine for tomorrow, in the amount of 14,400 doses," said Tatiana Zatic.

Regarding the immunization process, which started yesterday, March 2, in our country, the Minister of Health in office declared that 751 first-line medical workers were vaccinated yesterday.

"There are medical institutions that have already completed the vaccination of the distributed doses. The process was well organized. We will come up with a daily report in this regard ", Tatiana Zatîc also specified.

According to a post by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, in the second half of March, through the COVAX platform, the first doses of Pfizer vaccine would arrive in our country.

"I was informed that Pfizer will give the green light to Moldova to receive the vaccine. The file with the necessary documents will be sent to Chisinau today, and on Friday the company's representatives will have a meeting with the team responsible for the immunization process in Chisinau ", the head of state wrote on a social network.

We mention that yesterday, March 2, in the Republic of Moldova, the vaccination campaign was started. In the first stage, the front-line medical workers who fight the pandemic virus are vaccinated. In the second stage, the employees of the ministries, of the Presidency and of other public institutions, as well as the journalists, are to be immunized.
