King of the Moldovan humor, Gheorghe Urschi, turns 72
The king of the Moldovan humor, Gheorghe Urschi, celebrates his birthday today, January 18th. The artist is 72 years old.
Actor Gheorghe Urschi has played in many plays and directed dozens of shows.
In 2012, he was awarded the title of "Artist of the People" for success in creative activity and merits in the development of the satirical genre.
Two years later, on his birthday, the artist became an honorary citizen of Chisinau. During his more than 40 years of activity he has written books and plays, he has made numerous shows and concerts.
Gheorghe Urschi has not gotten on stage since 2011, when he suffered a stroke.
Urschi was born in 1948, in the Cotiujenii Mari village, Soldanesti district.
