Memorandum of Cooperation on Distance Learning

Chisinau City Hall and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research today signed a memorandum of cooperation on distance learning. The document aims to diversify and to improve online curricular content by ensuring the continuity of the implementation of the "Digital Library" project.

"The pandemic took us by surprise, but it also made us set our priorities, especially in terms of the digital aspect of the problems. So pressing that now we do not feel the need to implement this segment. The digital library was initiated by Chisinau City Hall and is enjoying popularity. We have achieved many of the proposed objectives to this effect. We hope that in the autumn of this year we will have a beautiful result, to have lessons for all classes", said Igor Şarov, Minister of Education.

"In less than two months, it was possible to film all the lessons and to develop this concept. Probably if it weren't for this pandemic, it would have been much more complicated for us to set these priorities now, so that's fine. All these are in the support of the parent, the pedagogue, the student ", said Ion Ceban, the mayor of Chisinau.

The "Online Education" project is an initiative of the Chisinau City Hall, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, initiated with the support of the Soros Foundation-Moldova, Technical University of Moldova, "Edu Tolk" show, Crunchyroll, National Association of ICT companies and the Academy for Innovation and Change through Education.
