Moldova will benefit from millions of euros in the Eastern Partnership
Prime Minister Ion Chicu today expressed gratitude to the European Union (EU) for its support in the fight against the pandemic. The PM said that our country will benefit from millions of euros, granted under the Eastern Partnership. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also thanked some countries, such as Romania, Ukraine, China and the USA, reports Mesager.
"Of these 140 million euros, 30 million will be directed to purchase equipment, consumables, 11 million euros to finance the representatives of civil society, which support vulnerable citizens and the remaining 100 million will be offered to small and medium-sized enterprises, which is implemented through the banking system, through existing crediting. In addition, the EU also announced a € 700 million for the Eastern Partnership countries. In particular, I note the amount of 87 million euros that the EU grants to the Republic of Moldova in the form of a grant. It is about allocating funds for projects aimed at reducing the effects of this pandemic”, said the PM.
