Marian Lupu is the candidate selected for the position of President of the Court of Accounts. The Committee for the Economy, Budget and Finance held today the competition interview. The nomination is due to be voted by the Legislature. The job became vacant after the former holder, Veaceslav Untila, was selected as a candidate for the position of director of the National Agency for Energy Regulation. The President of the Court of Accounts is appointed for a five-year term, Moldova 1 reports.

"It will be a period of one month or two months of analysis, obviously in consultation with other CC members, and only after that we will all come up with conclusions, if there is a need for change, what in what terms," said the candidate for the office of the President of the Court of Accounts, Marian Lupu.
