Marathon in Chisinau

They ran 75 kilometers on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicolae Testemitanu". In such a unique way, several students and residents of the institution expressed their gratitude for the teachers' effort to guide them on the path of knowledge, Moldova 1 reports.

The number 75 was the symbol of the Marathon of Quality, Excellence and Performance. 75 students and residents ran 75 kilometers through Chisinau. The route was not an easy one. In an alert rhythm, the participants crossed the Dendrarium Park, the Valea Morilor Park and the Valea Trandafirilor Park in the capital.

"I'm in my last year at university, I'm a fan of running, today I overcame all my limits, I ran 42 kilometers. I felt very motivated. I wanted to dedicate this marathon to the university, because he took care of us, he taught us the healthy way of life," said Ana Plăcinta, a participant.

Resident Iurie Noroc was the only one to cover the 75 kilometers in record time, seven and a half hours. The future doctor was also the initiator of this anniversary marathon.

"I set myself this marathon, in fact it is an ultramarathon to dedicate it to the university, to the professors who invested in me, who trained me as a personality", said Iurie Noroc.

"Nicolae Testemitanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy began its activity on October 20, 1945. Currently, at the "Nicolae Testemitanu" State University of Medicine and Pharmacy are studying seven thousand young people from the country but also from 30 states of the world.
