More facilities for the beneficiaries of the First Home government program

More facilities for the beneficiaries of the First Home government program. The maximum age of persons accessing the program has been increased from 45 to 50 years. A decision in this regard has been approved by the Government. At the same time, they will be able to access loans for housing and people who currently own real estate located in villages, acquired through inheritance or donation, reports Moldova 1.

"The aim of the project is to expand the number of citizens who will benefit from partially guaranteed state mortgages and who will receive budget compensations under the First House program. For this, it is proposed to increase the accepted age limit for individuals from 45 to 50 years old who can access the program,” said Sergiu Puşcuţa.

Another change refers to the initial share of beneficiaries' own participation. Individuals will be able to pay initially only 5% of the cost of housing, compared to 10% as it is today. According to the Ministry of Finance, through the "First House" Program, 4,205 homes were purchased, and the total amount of loans granted by banks constitutes 2.1 billion lei.
