Ion Chicu: The intensive care units have enough places

Hospital intensive care units have another 60% of places for patients with COVID-19. The announcement was made by Prime Minister Ion Chicu during the show "Public Life", Radio Moldova reports.

"Of the places in intensive care, another 60% are vacant. I hope we don't fill them out and have so many cases. Our doctors are very skilled and in most cases they manage to save us, the prime minister declared.

Asked if we will return to tougher restrictions to prevent infection with the COVID-19 virus, Prime Minister Ion Chicu mentioned:

"It is not a big effect in closing houses, especially since, closing in houses in April-May practically we were left without a budget, without money and without the possibility as a state and family to support ourselves. Therefore, we will not reintroduce economic restrictions, we will have to be very careful at various events, said Ion Chicu.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the balance of people infected with the new Coronavirus has reached 65,860 in the Republic of Moldova, 1,549 people have died, and 46,543 Moldovans have been treated for COVID-19.
