Ion Chicu: Before Easter, Moldova will not receive a vaccine against COVID-19

The Republic of Moldova is waiting in line for all seven to eight vaccines currently being prepared in the world against Coronavirus. The statement was made by Prime Minister Ion Chicu during a show on a private television station. The official added that, in his opinion, "it is not real to have it until Easter", Radio Moldova reports.

"In the almost final stage, there are about seven or eight vaccines from different manufacturers. The Republic of Moldova is waiting for any of them. I addressed the prime ministers of the Baltic countries, we addressed the Russians for their vaccine, we are talking to Hungary, we will discuss with Romania if they will have the possibility. We will receive the vaccine when it is in production. Unfortunately, from the stage of elaboration of this preparation to large-scale production, it is a long time. I think that rather than before Easter we will not have a vaccine," said Ion Chicu.
