Import of poultry and poultry meat from Ukraine, restricted
Import of poultry and poultry meat from Vinnitsa region, Ukraine, has been restricted. The National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) temporarily prohibits the import of poultry, captive birds or other birds, as well as products and by-products obtained from them from this region.
The measure is required in the context of the emergence of a highly pathogenic avian influenza outbreak in this region. ANSA claims that the ban on importing goods came into force on Friday.
ANSA also specifies that surveillance measures will be applied to prevent the spread of avian influenza in the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
