IGSU receives a batch of equipment for SMURD interventions

The Office of Defense Cooperation of the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova donated a lot of equipment necessary for SMURD interventions in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Secretary of State for Home Affairs Mariana Grama said that this donation will help employees of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to work more operatively, informs Radio Moldova.

"SMURD will have higher quality services that can be offered to people infected with COVID and their lives are in danger. The consolidation of the first-response capacities of the SMURD service, which are adapted to the current conditions of spreading COVID infection, will allow us to transport operatively to the units that offer quality services ", said Mariana Grama.

We remind that the lot donated by the USA contains emergency fans, immobilization mattresses, isolation and transport systems for infected people, medical oxygen tanks, digital thermometers and other necessary products worth 62 thousand US dollars.
